A Little Charlotte Tilbury Here: The Matte Revolution Lip Combo
If you haven’t already heard about Charlotte Tilbury, here’s a mini introduction. Launched about two years ago across the UK and US, the brand has taken the beauty world completely by storm. If you’ve ever watched any of Charlotte’s tutorials or seen videos of her speaking about the range, you’ll know straight away just how passionate, enthusiastic, and proud she is of her creations. The reviews I’ve seen and heard so far have mirrored that exact same positivity—quite honestly, there’s been nothing but praise across the board.
It has easily been one of the most raved-about luxury brands by bloggers and makeup experts alike. I have been lusting after the counter for a while now, and finally this week I decided to give in and try two of the much-loved staples: the Matte Revolution Lipstick and the matching Lip Cheat Lip Liner.

THE MATTE REVOLUTION LIPSTICK IN GLASTONBERRY
So, let’s talk lipsticks shall we? Seeing as it’s the one I truly cannot stop oohing and aahing over!
This is by far, hands down, one of my best beauty buys of 2015. I am so in love with the colour, and the way this feels when you apply it to the lips is just incredible. It feels amazing on—truly just a great, great lipstick.

I tend to gravitate towards matte lipsticks because they’re less messy and far less transferable (at least for me, anyway!), and so far this formula hasn’t caused me any embarrassment. I put it to the test with a drink and it held up beautifully—so far, so good.
It really is a revolutionary matte, and I cannot wait to create more fun looks with it. Quite honestly, there’s no more perfect time for a rich, vampy lip than this autumnal, wintry weather.

THE PERFECT PAIRING: LIP CHEAT IN BERRY NAUGHTY
To go with it, Berry Naughty is the liner one simply must use to line the lips when wearing the Glastonberry lipstick.

It’s a very similar rich berry shade, making it the perfect killer combination for a deep, vampy lip look. It feels lovely on the lips—very moisturising, glides on without tugging, and just helps pull the entire look together. Truly such a nice, nourishing pencil.

WHAT’S NEXT ON MY WISHLIST
Now that I’ve dipped my toes into the range, my Charlotte Tilbury wishlist is frankly endless. If I had my way I would love to try each and every product, but top of my list right now:
- Magic Foundation*
- Miracle Eye Wand*
- Airbrush Flawless Finish Powder*
- Filmstar Bronze & Glow*
- Cheek to Chic Swish & Glow Blusher*
So, have you tried any Charlotte Tilbury favourites yet? Which ones do you think you’ll be picking up, or what sits at the very top of your wishlist?
Mariama x
