I’ve been doing a lot of thinking lately about the world we’re living in. It feels like every time we turn on the news, there’s more conflict and more heartbreak. It’s so sad to see innocent lives being lost, often because people in power are fighting over things that just don’t matter in the grand scheme of things or because they want what someone else has, rather than just entering into a fair deal and sharing.

We’re all just human beings trying to make our way, and life is honestly way too short for all this war and greed. I truly believe that love and sharing are the only ways we can actually live happy, taken-care-of lives.

I came across this MLK quote today and it really stopped me in my tracks: “Peace is not merely a distant goal that we seek, but a means by which we arrive at that goal.”

It reminded me that peace isn’t just some future dream; it’s something we have to choose to practice in our own lives, every single day. By embracing our differences and choosing kindness over conflict, I think we can change the world, even just a little bit.
