Hello again. I hope you’re having a good day wherever you may find yourself. You’re probably wondering why today’s post title is the candid orange well if you’re following me on Instagram you might have already seen these heels on one of my posts. Because of how bright and beautiful it is I couldn’t really think of an outfit to pair it with without drowning it and with a colour this beautiful, it instantly captures the eye. And seeing as spring/summer is already here this is the perfect season to rock these bright gorgeous heels. Warmer weather just makes me want to experiment more with bright colours.

If you know my usual wardrobe, you know I am a neutrals girl through and through. Stepping out in something this vibrant can feel a bit daunting at first, which is why leaning on an all-black foundation always works. Instead of trying to balance multiple bold tones, keeping the rest of the silhouette understated lets the shoes do all the heavy lifting.

A pair of high-waisted slim-leg black jeans and a slouchy boyfriend V-neck tee create that effortless base. Then, throwing an oversized faux leather biker jacket over the top adds just enough edge and grit so the look doesn’t feel overly dressy. It is the ultimate compromise for London in April—practical enough for the unpredictable spring breeze, but fun enough to feel like the new season has actually arrived.

Finding statement shoes that look high-end without the eye-watering price tag is a personal victory. These heels have that sculptural, clean strap detail that elongates the leg, and while walking over London pavements in stilettos is always a mild sport, they are surprisingly manageable for an afternoon out.

It really comes down to having fun with your wardrobe again once the grey winter months start to fade. A single pop of saturated citrus can completely transform a set of simple high-street staples you wear on repeat.

What bright colours are you looking forward to experimenting with this summer? And what do you think of my pop of colour?
